Spreading some Christmas joy

Did you know there are only 360 sleeps 'til Christmas?! Hahahaha!! I could lie and say I waited to post this car to prolong the joy of Christmas... but I wold be lying,I just did not get around to doing it any sooner.
I have used Lil Christmas Lolita Evie, don't you just love that little hat, lol, from TPS as is the sentiment and matching die (very cool). The papers are from a 6x6 Kaiser pad, one of the Christmas ones.
I left the layout pretty simple and have inked and glittered all my edges.

I would like to enter this card over at:
Paper Sundaes - cut it out
7 kids challenge blog - Anything goes
A spoon full of sugar - Christmas card
Mad for markers - Anything goes

More wedding pictures...

I received the photos one of my cousin took of our wedding on Christmas day and so I now have something to show you... finally!!
This is my totally awesome wedding car (owned by the best man, pretty convenient, huh! lol) A photo of Levi in his tiny suit looking adorable (he screamed when he saw a camera that day so as a result we don't have many photos of him mid tantrum)

One of all of us, Dallas loved my flowers and would not stop poking them, hahaha. The photographer got a shot of all of us actually smiling in this pose, the only one of us all together on the day.

This pic was taken before the last one while we were waiting for Levi to decide to join us, there is actually a few where you can tell we are frantically waving out arms and trying to call him over, bahaha!!

This photo, when I first saw it, melted my heart!! He just looks so darn angelic, I can't get over how perfect this photo is!

One of the happy couple out in the sun, did I mention it was the only Saturday down here that it did not rain all month. I think the local cricket clubs may have only played 2 matches before Christmas because every Saturday has been a wet one.

Here is Levi, during the ceremony... I had no idea he was even down there playing cars! I do remember at one point him lying down on the floor at the end of the aisle, what a dag, it did make us laugh though :)

And last of all our wedding cake! One of my bridesmaids has been emailing pictures of it to everyone saying she wants it for her wedding cake too, lol!
I hope you liked my little piccies, I do have a card to show you, a Christmas card I did not get around to showing before Christmas... whoops! So hopefully I will get a chance to post that later today :)

Welcome again to another Magnolia Down Under Challenge, this week we want to see you use red, brown and cream on your cards. Usually I have trouble with colour combo's, for some reason I just have a lot of difficulty getting them to work for me but this one really came together, it's the perfect combo for Christmas!! I have used the chair (I think it's called Santa's wishing chair... or something like that) from this years Christmas collection and Santa's little helper Tilda from the 2009 range. She is popped up on foam adhesive for a little dimension. All my colouring is with my copics, the papers are from Kaiser. I have glimmer misted my flowers (I think you can actually see it on the red one) and the swirly chipboard thingy (I am loving the glimmer mist on chipboard, the woman mentioned it at my local shop the other week when I was buying more glimmer mist and it just gives it such a lovely shimmer)
Ok, sorry but this is going to be a quickie post, I am scheduling it last night :) and it is waaaaaaaay past my bed time and I have been having too many late nights lately, and another big day tomorrow... but that's the thing about Christmas I guess, so much festiveness crammed into too little time, but I still love it!!
So, please come and play with us over at MDUC this week, I can't wait to see what you create with this combo :)

I'm dreaming of a Tickled Pink Christmas...

Well, it's that time again, time for another Tickled Pink sketch, and this one is truly fabulous!!! Didn't I tell you it was great, think of the possibilities, I was halfway done with my card and about to embellish the hell out of it, as you do (or I certainly do, lol), when I stopped and thought 'hey, I really like it just like this' so, this is probably my first ever clean and simple (for me, anyways) card. I guess it just proves how much I loved this sketch, I did not want to hide it away under flowers and anything else I could get my hands on, bahaha!
I have used Willow from the Lil Christmas range (get yours HERE) and blown up and cropped her head, the green and spotty red papers are kaiser Christmas papers I have used kraft card stock (yup, I'm obsessed, it's officially on EVERYTHING now, lol) and everything else is from the stash. I have glittered around all my edges for a bit of festive sparkle and added a bit to the star on the tree too!

Now for some sad news, this will be the last challenge at Tickled Pink Stamps Monthly Challenges, but don't be too upset, next month we are launching a new weekly challenge HERE... head on over now to become a follower and maybe win some fabulous prizes while your at it!!!

Tilda and Edwin are decorating up a storm!

Hi everyone, did ya miss me?! Well I'm back now, and whats more I even have some cards to show you!! Today I am showing you the Xmas cards I have made for my mother and mother-in-law, to be fair I made them both the same.
I fell in love with this Edwin stamp, i mean, don't we ALL have this problem at xmas time? I am not as bad with lights as I used to be, I have memories as a child of untangling lights (although my helping was probably counter productive) and then having to wait patiently as my parents tested them to make sure they were all working (which they never were) and then waiting as they had to go through and test EVERY globe until they found the 1 that had died, it was sooo painful because from as far back as I can remember I have LOVED to decorate the tree, it is my favourite thing to do at xmas, hell, probably me favourite thing to do all year, I get so excited when it gets close to tree time and I start to see a few in the windows of houses. Hehehe, funny story, I am convinced I have xmas induced ADD or something, it was my wedding day and I was in the car with 2 of my bridesmaids on the way back to my place after having out hair and make-up done and I was chatting away a mile a minute about something when we drove past a house with a tree in the window and I stopped mid sentence and yelled "xmas tree!!!" needless to say I frightened the heck out of the other girls, it's a good thing they already knew I was nuts, lol! They were just surprised I could focus on anything else considering I was getting married in a few hours :) So yeah, I like xmas just a little bit, hehehe. Sorry about the waffle, I just thought of that little story and it made me giggle so I thought I would share.
So anyways... I figured there little guys represented hubby and I well at xmas time, me decorating my tree and him putting up the lights on the house (yeah, we do that too, I will try and get some pis of it this year for you) Now all I need is a stamp of too cheeky little monkeys running around and touching everything!! Apparently Buzz Lightyear likes to venture amongst the branches of my tree in search of adventure, I am not impressed! So, the card, finally I hear you all say... The papers were actually from a pack I picked up in Kmart, and the ribbon too I think. Cardstock is Kraft and some green I had in the stash. The flowers are from iamroses.com, the chipboard 25 ornament and tiny bells are from my local scrapbooking shop (I so have to go back and get more!) and the Maggie and pearls are from TPS.
I have stitched my edges and inked them and then glimmer misted all my DP and the 25 ornament with iridescent gold... it's soooo pretty and sparkly IRL, I love that stuff!
Sooo... I think thats everything, I am going to pop this into a few challenges, just because I can :P
ABC christmas challenge - Y is for yuletide (I went with a red and green theme)
Bizzy Bec's store - christmas theme
Dutch dare - christmas card, tag or ornament
Just Magnolia - Anything goes... with sparkle
Magnolia stamp lovers - Ornament

Thanks for sticking with me through my ranting, hehehe, and congrats on making it to the end of the post LOL!!

Vintage wedding

Hello everyone, it's Sunday down under which means time for another challenge at MDUC and this week we would love to see your vintage creations!!
I absolutely LOVE vintage style/inspired cards but I have such a hard time doing them myself, I just cannot seen to get it right, so here is my attempt, I hope the inking of the edges of my papers and doilies give enough of a vintage feel, hehehe!!
I was also thrilled to be asked to be this weeks guest designed over at the 7 kids college fund challenge and their theme is thankful.
These cards were made for my bridesmaids last weekend, hence the thank you sentiments.
Ok, sorry for making this especially short and sweet, I have just been told my Internet will be cut off for several days because we are switching service providers, how terrible is that!! Surely there has to be a better way... *grump* *grump*

The big day!!!

I have just a couple of quick pic's for you, I will share some more when i get them.
He is me after all the hair and make up magic had been performed and a liberal serving of veil had been applied.
Here is one of y brother walking me down the aisle, I am telling him to say something inappropriate to make me laugh and stop me from crying. I was a giant sook but am proud to say that I did not cry all day, even though I came REALLY close a couple of times throughout the day (so did Glenn, so sweet) and I am even prouder to say I manged to go to the toilet all by myself hahaha!! I know, to much information, but having people help me to pee was something I was dreading (even though everyone does it and everyone has a story about helping someone else, lol)and I am stubborn enough to try and do it on my own! I will be back with more pic's when I get some but I hope this will tide you all over until then :
Also, a huge thanks to everyone who sent us cards and gifts, they were all gorgeous and I will be thanking you all personally for them soon, once I have recovered and returned to what passes for normal around here :)

For now I will leave you with some pic's of out invitations, they are 5x5 inches with a

little pocket at the bottom to hold cards with RSVP and reception, etc information.

(sorry about the dodgy shadow, I am such a dodgy photographer :D)

I shall hopefully be back to post something soon, with the wedding my crafting and blogging have really been put on the back burner, I hope to be back and crafting again more regularly after xmas/ new year.

Ok lovely ladies, when I get back I will be a Mrs!!

Welcome to the Tickled Pink Stamps Birthday Blog Hop,

What a month of previews, releases and giveaways Tickled Pink Stamps has had and now to top it all off a blog hop to go out with a BANG. To join the Pink Party of the year you can start HERE.... "please link to my blog www.kelliewinnell.com.au" And WHY is this hop not to be missed? There is a major prize at the wind down of the party, by hopping along you have a chance to win EVERY stamp releases during the month of October, that is over 15 stamps, including all the images and sentiments from the first release. If they come in rubber and you want rubber over digi, then you can have rubber. If they only came out in digi then digi it is, it's all up to you and your liking. AND want to know something else? There are hidden candies hiding in within the hop.

If you have come from Debbie then your on the right party line.

Ok, so here is my creation, a trick or treat bag!!

I have used Frankie and Lylah from the Lil' Haunts collection and the sentiment on the tag and the pumpkin image from the Going Batty stamp set. I have used some ribbons I found in the stash and glittered all the edges of my papers. Not much else to say, I have not added too many embellishments as I wanted the images to be the focus, don't these two just look fabulous together :)

And here is a shot of my little helper modeling the bag. As I was trying to get some pics I noticed a little hand sneaking into the frame and trying to grab the bag, hehehe, too cute. Sigh, I can't believe my little bugs will be 2 and a half at the end of next month, where does the time go!!

Now your next party stop is Jane!!

Thank you for joining the Tickled Pink Stamps hop and have FUN.

Going batty at MDUC

Welcome to another week or wonderful challenges at Magnolia Down Under and this week we have a shooktacular one for you, it's Halloween inspired!! Now, don't panic if you don't have a Halloween stamp, your card could use any stamp and use Halloween colours (purple, black, orange, green, etc), or maybe include some candy on your card, like Tilda with her lolly pop, or those cute Magnolia candy papers... if you have any left, can you still buy that one?!
I was lucky enough to pick up this adorable bat Tilda AGES ago (but not in time for last Halloween!), and she is finally coming in handy. The background stamp is a c.c. designs stamp, I think, that I got from TPS. I really need more background stamps, they are such a great way to make your image pop! The sentiment and bat on the tag are from the going batty sentiment set also from TPS. The bats are buttons I had still from an earlier project, they are so cute, and the ribbon I sicked up at a craft show a while ago.
Everything has been coloured with my copics. Here is a close shot of the tag, the digital sentiment had been printed on acetate and I inked the edges a little to give it definition and popped it onto the card with a brad so it can move around a little.

Hope your Halloween is a spooktacular one, my kids are a bit too young this year but i hope next year we might be able to do something. A local park is having a twilight event (twilight as in early evening, not the movie, lol!) where kids can dress up and trick or treat and they are having a bbq (how aussie) and other fun Halloween stuff in a country that does not celebrate Halloween, hahaha!! So hopefully this years event is a huge success so we can take the boys next year! It sounds like so much fun.

Meet Birthday Cherrie

Yep, we have yet another preview for you over at TPS, her name is Cherrie and she is super cute... don't believe me, take a look for yourself... See, I told you so!
Not much to say about my card, I kept it pretty plain and simple as the image took up a lot of room and I did not want to end up overcrowding things, lol. So, these are some papers I dug out of a pile on my desk, I have glittered all my edges and added some crystal effects to the balloons and dug out a sweet little flower and button because I could not leave it totally bare.
So why not head on over to HERE... and see what all the fuss is about, and be sure and check back tomorrow for another sweet and delicious Cherrie preview!!

A Debalicious sketch to share

Welcome to another week at MDUC, and this challenge is a brilliant one, we have a sketch created by out very own Debbie P!! I loved this sketch and used it to finish a project I had been planning for quite a while, a box to keep my wedding tiara and jewellery in. Ta-Da! I was thrilled with how it came out. The box was one of those cardboard kraft ones I picked up in spotlight, I did think about painting it but I am going through such a kraft phase I thought it would be the perfect background. This Tilda and Edwin were actually stamped for me aaaaaages ago but the fabulous Kellie, I even coloured them up to go with these papers months and months ago and then thought I would save them and the paper until I have a brilliant idea for a card, then I decided they would look fabulous on the box, and then when I saw Deb's sketch I knew I had finally found my inspiration for my box top!! Don't you love it when a plan comes together!!
So... the paper, doilies and doohickey are all from Tickled Pink Stamps, where you can also choose from a huge selection of Magnolia stamps too! The flowers are from my stash and the crystals, ribbon and ric rak I picked up in spotlight... oh, and the rub on in the corner is from kaiser.
Anyways, bit of a waffle there about the box, sorry guys, I am off now to get my hair ready (I am typing this Saturday evening so I can schedule it) it's my hen's night tonight so I should go and attempt to pretty myself up, hahaha! I had my make up trial this morning to see how the make up would go over the day/night, then we were invited last minute to a 4th birthday party this morning, so I showed up looking particularly glamorous, lol, maybe I should have whacked the tiara in as well, just to complete the look!
Hmmm... 3 weeks until the big day, not really overly excited or nervous yet, I think I am more focused on getting everything organised, then I can really let myself go and totally freak out, bahahaha!! We are stuck on what song to play as we enter the reception, if anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it. I want to walk in to the new Pink song because it makes me laugh, but it really isn't a 'wedding' kind of song, I guess I just love the idea of a song celebrating all of us who are "wrong in all the right ways", it's so me :)

So... I thought I might also enter this little boxy into a couple of challenges...

I have also used lace and tassel ribbon from TPS and flowers from the stash. Oh yeah, it's an easel card. This actually ended up being my mothers birthday card, she loved it :) even I was pretty pleased with the way it came out.

Happy Birthday Brownie!!

Today is the birthday of our fabulous Pink Lady Kylie Brown, Happy Birthday baby, wish I could be there for a few drinks to help you celebrate.
Soooo... for your birthday viewing pleasure....
...hehehe...

Lil Haunts - Vampire Lilith

Welcome to the first of out Lil Haunts previews!! Tonight we willo be introducing Vampire Lilith, she is so fabulous and after you have seen the amazing creations the Pink Ladies have created for your viewing pleasure HERE.. you will just have to have her!

So... Mr Camera was not being my friend today (or, and this is much more likely, my photography skills are just rubbish, LOL!) so I took 2 photos, with and without flash, so you can see some of my glimmer misting and details. I have made a small flower using the DP and black paper but as it is so dark it did not photograph well at all. I not really happy with this card, the mojo is AWOL again and I have a bit of a cold so I don't feel i have done this gorgeous image justice, oh well. I might pull it all apart and try again when I get a chance :)

Saturday, October 2, 2010

Happy Birthday TPS, let's get the party started!!

We are so excited to show you all of the amazing new ranges this month. We have a bit of everything for everyone! The Pink Ladies have been working very hard behind the scenes to create some masterpieces for you to be inspired.
Lets get this party started with our first release - "Tickled Pink Birthday" by the very talented Heather Rolin. The Tickled Pink Birthday set is a very versatile set of sentiments and accessory stamps which can be used by themselves as you can see below, but also with Tickled Pink Stamps fantastic Lil Lolita range. So, I have been struggling a bit recently with a lack of mojo (and time) and really was not sure what I was going to do when inspiration struck, I decided to uses these little babies and make little gift tags, you can write all your usual 'to' & 'from' stuff on the back, and then just as I was finishing them off I thought to myself 'hey, these would make fabby little tags for a gift bag too!' So I ended up with one of each, don't you just love that tassel, it just adds that little something extra on the bag, it is also from TPS.

For some more fabulous works using this set make sure you head on over to HERE... and there might even be some prizes up for grabs :)

The set will be released 2 October at midnight (Australian Eastern Standard Time) as digi stamps. To snag yours, visit Tickled Pink Stamps store!

TPS Monthly sketch challenge

Well, where do the months go, can you believe it is time for another sketch over at Tickled Pink Monthly Challenges!! Isn't this a fabulous sketch! I had so much fun playing with my Kraftin Kimmie Witchypoo, she is sooo funky. I have set her against a moon I cut from a CC designs background stamp, I had planned to use the whole background but it was just not working for me and the more I tried to make it work the worse it got.... can you see where I am going with this, LOL! So in the end I cut out the moon for her to fly over, and what is a with without her black cat and potion, the potion bottle is from perfect poison, also a Kraftin Kimmie. Papers and ribbon are from my stash and all stamps are from Tickled Pink Stamps.
Make sure you head on over to HERE... and check out the DT's fabulous samples and why not play along with us too, there is a great prize up for grabs!

Feathers and fur to tickle your fancy

Hello ladies, this week over at Magnolia Down Under we have a super fun challenge for you, feathers, fur or fins! You can interpret this and integrate these elements in sooo many ways. Because I do not have any animal Maggies (the lion would be perfect, or Tilda holding the cat, or bird, can you see where I am heading with this :D)or the new mermaid (fin-tastc as she is, and perfect for this challenge) I have used feathers to embellish my card.
This cutie stamp is Tilda with bridesmaid (but I think she looks more like a flower girl) which I got from TPS along with the doily, papers and charms. I'm sorry about the colours being washed out, the weather has been terrible and all my photos come out very pale *grump, grump*
I have inked and glittered all my edges and distressed the DP. There is a little glitter o the image and flowers too, but as usual you can't tell. When will someone make a glitter sensitive camera!!
Here is a close up of me feathery embellies...

Ok, that's it for me, I tried to keep it short and sweet... and I probably failed miserably. Head on over here for some more wonderful feathery and furry and finny inspirations!!
