...it's a sketchy kind of day!

Hello and welcome, this week at Magnolia Down Under we have a fabulous sketch for you all to play along with. I did not think I was going to get my card finished in time, it has been one of those mad weeks, and then today when I thought I had some crafty time on my hands and had intended to do my card (I had the image all coloured up and my papers chosen, it was just waiting to all be put together) I was told it was actually shed time, not craft time, and therefore spent the majority of my day in the back yard constructing a shed! I was THRILLED!! So anyways, I stole a little bit of time this evening and surprisingly got it completed, but because it was night my photo is really dodgy, so sorry about that, I might try and take another one if I get a chance... but I can't see that happening as I am off tomorrow to meet the lady who is making my wedding cake, and I have no idea what I want!! I have been looking at cakes for a year and cannot find a picture that I like. I kind of have an idea of what I am after, I can almost see it in my head but I am worried without a picture to show her what I am talking about she will not understand, I am not the most articulate person so getting what's in my head out in a comprehensive fashion will be interesting :) Anyways, I have also been informed that tomorrow is also shed time, as we have not finished. I thought when I knocked the drill flying off the top of the ladder and smashing onto the concrete this afternoon that it would be the end of my shed time and he would call one of his brothers to help... no such luck. Worst of all it this shed is just over 2M high and I am only 1.65M tall, and he needs me to hold things that I physically cannot reach, it's hilarious!
Anyways, back to my card, and sorry again for the poopy photograph, I have used Nobel Tilda from the raising the ceiling collection and masked her perched on top of gift boxes from the So Jolly collection. I coloured my doily up (details to come, hehehe) in a soft pink colour as the white disappeared against the DP, added some flowers and a charm, glittered a few edges and a couple of spots here and there on Tilda and her enormous prezzies and cut out my computer generated sentiment with my Spellbinders labels (love these!)Here is a little piccy of the charm as you could not really see it in the other photo.

Stamps. doily. charm, cherry blossoms and leaves are all from Tickled Pink Stamps, where we will soon be spilling out big news *squeal* I can't wait!

This card is actually going to be for my future Mother-in-law, she is a wonderful lady so I can say that without cringing, hahaha! I actually used to date this guy whose mother was the stereotyped horrible mother-in-law from hell, OMG! There are not words to tell you all how nasty and horrible and manipulative she was, phew, dodged a bullet on that one, LOL!

Wow, what a waffle that turned out to be, hoped you all liked my card and be sure to head on over to MDUC and take a look-see at the rest of the DT's magnificent work.

A Spesch-ial release blog hop

Hi and welcome to Spesch Designer Stamps first ever blog hop.
You should have arrived from Maria.... however, if you haven't, please click here to go to the Spesch Stamps Blog and start the Hop from the start.

Today I am going to be showing you Kei with net.
I am completely in love with this entire range of stamps, she is soooo sweet and I love butterflies (and Tracey got these stamps the day after I ordered my beloved MS butterfly punch, how perfect it that!) I think her expression in this image is adorable :)
I had planned to make a gate fold card for this little cutie to sit on, but I decided that rather than trim off the long edge to make the flaps even I would leave it as it was, this way I have a large flap on the left that sits over top of a smaller one on the right (if you get what I mean). I have used my Cosmo Cricket earth love papers (I think that's what they were, I have been cutting into them for a while now and the name is long gone, lol!) on a kraft card base. I have distressed and glittered the edges of the DP in my main panel and used my MS doily punch on the small side. I have punched the butterflies out of the same stripey paper and smothered them in kindy glitz. Some lemon coloured lace to keep the card closed and a butterfly charm and that's everything!
Thank you for visiting me today on the Hop, your next visit is to Shana.... Don't forget to leave a message on all of our posts for the chance to win the entire collection.
Have fun!

Edwin brings some yummy-ness

I made this card up the other week, just because, as ya do :) Isn't this Edwin adorable, I just think he is the cutest little guy in his chefs outfit. I have made a gate fold card and popped Edwin and the sentiment up on foam adhesive for a little dimension (you can see it in the bottom picture).
I added some red glitter here and there in this card an afterwards wish I hadn't, lol! Oh well, live and learn :) I have distressed all my edges and used the checked ribbon (which matches his pants, hehehe) to hold the card closed.

All stamps, DP and the doily are from Tickled Pink Stamps.
This card also plays along with a few challenges (which is exciting for me as most of my cards recently have been DT work):
Just Magnolia - Anything goes
Cupcake craft challenges - red and white

Candy alert!!

Bootylicious!

I'm back with some more Kraftin' Kimmie goodness (I am so obsessed with them already), today it's Polly the bar wench. The sentiment on this card is also a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp, from the pirate sentiment set. When i saw this sentiment I envisioned it with this stamp and I laughed sooo hard, I just new I would have to get them all and make it :) Yup, I have a bit of a warped sense of humour! So, there is not too much more to say about this, the card and papers are all scraps I had left over from another card, I love it so much I went and bought more yesterday, and they also had the same pattern in blue, so I just had to have some of that too, lol! The pink daisy is from Bizzy Becs, The butterfly is a MS punch (are you sick of it yet, because I'm not) I have coloured her with copics and the cherry blossoms and all stamps were from Tickled Pink Stamps. Oh, I forgot to mention this is a little easel card (but you could probably figure that out) it's a 4 inch circle, and so sweet considering my cards are usually around 6 inches.
And speaking of tickled pink make sure you check out the blog for an exciting sneak peek!!
I am also going to enter his over at Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #55!

Tickled Pink to meet Wedding Dress Kimmie :)

Ok, ok, that's not really her name, this is actually Marie Antoinette and she is a new release, but when I first saw her I was reminded of my wedding dress, they are even posing in almost identically!! So from now on she shall be called Wedding Dress Kimmie (by me anyways!) I just hope my wedding dress does not make my butt look quite that big :) (yep, I went crazy and ordered a dress I have never seen in real life, it should arrive in July, maybe sooner, *eek* and I am hoping I don't look like a giant marshmallow)
Anyway, back to the card, i have coloured he in with copics, the DP and blue card stock is from my stash, the base is kraft. I have also punched out a corner in kraft and then sponged it lightly with gold ink, it looks as if it has been glimmer misted, which was a wonderful surprise. The net ribbon stuff is from a local sewing store, I have tied it to close the card (it's a gate fold) and then I have added a couple of pearl pins as a bit of interest. I tried adding flowers and things but the image is actually quite large so it just ended up being too crowded. Awwww, isn't she a darling, I am completely in love with these Kraftin Kimmies now. You can get yours from Tickled Pink Stamps and while your there make sure you get your order in for the new Magnolia fairytale collection. Kellie is now taking her second pre-order so be quick! And don't forget your gift vouchers for Mothers Day!!!

That is right - Kellie has been so overwhelmed with pre-orders for this gorgeous new collection from Magnolia Stamps that she has decided to go for ROUND TWO of pre-orders. So if you missed out on a gorgeous stamp on the first round, head over there now to TICKLED PINK STAMPS!!

There are fairies, ballerinas, pirates, princes and princesses, gorgeous backgrounds and accessory stamps. This collection is just gorgeous, I know I ordered quite a few more stamps than I intended on *blushes* they are so fabulous you just cannot help yourself!!

Get in quick before I head back and buy them all, LOL!

Masking my Magnolias Downunder

This week at MDUC we are challenging you to mask your images!I have had this tin stamp for ages and this is the first time I have used it. I bought it to sit this Tilda on, they are so perfect together :) I have coloured with copics (I can see now why people call them their babies and completely fall in love with them, I'm already hooked!) Inked the edges of my image and glittered that edge and the edge of the DP. There is also heaps of glitter on the image, which you cannot see in the pic, and on the butterfly punches. The image ended up being pretty big so I have kept the card lay out pretty simple, with a bow and some flowers for embellishment. Sorry, another washed out picture due to the overcast sky.
The stamps and DP are from Tickled Pink Stamps, there is a sale on not and the new fairytale collection in store for pre order at 15% off!!

Make sure to check out Magnolia Down Under Challenges for more fabulous inspiration for out lovely DT!!!

They are here!!!

Magnolia Fairytale Collection Pre-Order has started over at Tickled Pink Stamps, get in quickly as they will be very popular! And if we sell out, as I can see this range being VERY popular, we will be having a second pre-order.

There is also going to be 15% OFF all stamps in store, which has started NOW.

There are charms to suit the new range and a range of paper doilies in store too.

It's all happening this weekend over at Tickled Pink Stamps!

Anya Ink

TGIF. Did someone say Pink and Sparkly... yep, they did, it's the challenge over at Anya Ink! I mush have been a bit psychic (I know what you are all thinking and I did spell that right, it's not meant to be psycho!) as my last card for Anya Ink was pretty damn pink and sparkly too! I even used the same image, I am absolutely in love with these creepy cakes (and I probably say that every time I use them, lol) and I got a new butterfly punch so I had to use her to match :)
I also got some kraft card stock in the mail the other day and this was the first card I got to use it on, I can see I will be using a lot more of this in the near future! So... the papers are Heidi Grace, from my stash, the punch is MS, I have inked the edges and then Kindy Glitzed the heck out of them as well as the edges of my DP and the image in places (not that it shows up in the photo!!) The sentiment is an old Stampin' Up one, stamped in brown as I sort of wanted it to blend with the paper a bit and I thought black would make it stand out too much, and then I glittered it. So thats it really, make sure you check out the rest of the DT's fabulous work here, and enjoy your weekend!

Spesch stamps pops the question

Aren't these guys the cutest couple, they are a new digi over at Spesch Stamps. This couple are the perfect image for an engagement card. I have not seen many images around suitable for engagement cards so this release is pretty exciting!!
Sorry about the poor photo quality, it has been cold and overcast all week and I am having a lot of trouble getting photos. The purples have come out the worst unfortunately, looks very washed out and grey, you will just have to use our imagination :)
I have coloured the image with copics and he ring is coloured with silver gel pen and the diamond has had kindy glitz added. I have also glittered the edges on most of my papers.
I have left it pretty simple, I was not too sure about girly-ing it up too much as the card is for the couple, not just the girl, lol.
Make sure you get on over to Spesch Stamps and see what the rest of the fabulous DT have created with this gorgeous image!!

Mad for Markers challenge #1

Woo Hoo, it's the first ever challenge over at Mad for Markers, and it's a colour challenge! The challenge is to use:
BG15, R20 & E00.
I did not have BG15, but substituted some other aqua colours. I was stumped for days on what image to use on my card and when I say Tracy's colouring tutorial I thought "Hmmmm, I have not used my Madelynn stamp in AGES, and she is sooooo sweet"
Yeah, I know, another easel card, but i have been seeing so many different shapes around lately and I just HAD to try a butterfly one. I just googled butterfly template, picked my fave and printed it off in 3 different shapes so I could mat them. The papers are Kaisercraft, the pearl flourish is prima (and completely delicious) the large butterfly punch is a Martha Stewart punch I have been stalking the post for and it arrived today, finally! The smaller butterfly is just a random little punch I have had for ages. The leaves are a sizzix die from Stampin' up (also arrived today) and the cherry blossoms are from Tickled Pink Stamps. I have slathered kindy glitz on the butterflies and the edges of all my mats, the cherry blossoms, leaves and the flower on her hat.
So, enough waffle, and congrats if you have made it this far, here is my card:
Here is a pic of just the top of the card:
and another of just the bottom:
I have used the following copics:
Skin - E00, E50, E51, R20
Hair - E71, E47, E49, E31
Aquas - BG34, BG49
Pinks - R22, R20, R11, R00
Thanks for looking and making it through the waffle :)

Round 3 of the Royal Battle

This round the lovely Emma has done a scrapbook layout for entry in The Greeting Farm Royal Battle. It is so exciting to have made it through to the third round and would love if you could head over to HERE and leave us some love, look at those gorgeous little faces, how could you not :)
