MDUC is distressing (lol)

This week at MDUC we want to see some distressing on your cards. Now, I have not been doing all that much distressing lately so this was fun :) My card is a pretty simple one but I was dying to use my new Doohickey, I bought this one as soon as I saw it, I was totally in love, and this was the first time I have used it, terrible isn't it, lol! I actually thought I had lost it because it had been sitting on the same spot on my desk for months (like I said, terrible) and when I wanted to FINALLY use it, it was gone (probably ran away because it was feeling neglected) The trouble was I had stupidly cleaned up my desk (and then pretty much undid all my hard work and messed it up again looking for this die *sigh*) anyways... after much swearing and about an hour and 45 min of searching I found it... in the second place I looked... obviously I did not look too thoroughly the first time round.
So, I have whipped out my October Afternoon papers (I am totally in love with OA papers lately, I have grand ideas about making an album with their seaside papers... we will see how that goes :D ) Everything is glimmer misted (in antique gold), inked (in vintage photo) and then distressed. I thought this Tilda with her basket of flowers would be perfect with the fence, I think this is one of my all time favourite Tilda stamps, she just looks so sweet.
I hope you can all play along with us this week at MDUC and get thoroughly distressed, LOL!!

Birthday Tildas!

Yippi!! I got some new rubber last week and I couldn't wait to get them inky and play :) I totally love these cute little party images I have one left to colour up but I am working on an idea for her so hopefully you will be seeing her soon!
I am so very sad because this is almost the last of this paper, I have a couple of very sad little scraps left, and I really do love it. I went back to the store I bought it from last week and they don't have any left :( *sniff* It think they are called 72 degrees and sunny... or something like that.
Here is the first one with Tilda holding her gift and with a little party hat on:

and here is is with the tag pulled out to reveal a "Happy Birthday" message:
This one one is Tilda with a balloon:
and again with the tag removed:
I have coloured all images with copics, cardstock is kraft and all my edges have been glittered.
(which you totally can't tell in the pic's) and I have used the Tildas Lace Doohickey. The doohickey and stamps were from TPS
I am playing along with the following challenges:
The lollipop ladies - inspiration pic (mmmm... I so want smarties now!)

Papertake challenges - Bling it on

All that scraps Magnolia Challenge - Birthdays

Bubby Love

Hello Everybody, I have been doing a little bit of 'just because' creating... just because I have had these images coloured up for ages and thought I had better show them some love :) I was feeling a little bit guilty actually, I was so excited to get this stamp and had it inked and coloured pretty quickly... for me anyways, lol, and then they just floated around my craft desk for a couple of months. So, on Friday night I put the kids to bed and played while hubby was out of the house *bliss* and this is what I came up with...

Now people... someone out here had better have a baby!! I keep nagging and nagging and it's just not happening, well today is Valentine's Day so show your men some love and get knocked up people!!!
Anyways, my papers are all Magnolia, as is the cutie patootie bubby stamp and the Doohickey die, all from TPS. My embellies are all from my stash and I have even added a touch of kindy glitz to their wings and gold glimmer mist here and there.
So, I am entering these cards into a few challenges:
Die cut Dreams - It's a girl (baby)
Do you stack up - ribbons
The southern girls challenge - Blue and chocolate (Mmmm.... chocolate) (boy card)

Did you love our Lil' Allsorts? Today have played with Lil' Fox Emilio, what a cutie. Not much to say about my card, I have used Websters papers from TPS and lace and flowers from my stash. I lust adore this paper it is so lush and I have such a difficult time covering it up, so I try not to, lol!

The next stop on your journey today is the fabulously talented Jane.
Have fun on the hop, there is lots of candy up for grabs, as always (our boss lady is so very generous) so good luck!!

Introducing Sir Rupert

Have you been enjoying this months release so far? Today we have for you Sir Rupert, isn't he dashing :) Now, you will have to forgive me but I do not have the right reddish/brown coloured copics to do him justice so I had to improvise, it came out pretty close to the colour I was after, you will also have to forgive the fact that apparently I have no idea what foxes are supposed to look like and I only a few days ago (seriously... perhaps I should have done some research, lol!) realised that foxes where white on the chest/chin/cheek region... think I noticed it reading one of the boys a book the other day and saw a picture... maybe I should read some more kids books and see what else I need to learn :D
So, lets all pretend that I actually have a clue and just imagine the right colours in the right places, bahahaha!!! I have been meaning to make one of these corner book marks for around 6 months and finally got around to it, I figured with his little glasses he was perfect... I am calling them his reading glasses :)
The papers are Websters, available now at TPS I have used lace and my Doohickey die (LOVE this) also from TPS.
Be sure to swing by the blog HERE... and check out the pinkalicious DT creations and get yourself in the draw for some fabulous give aways :)

Love is in the air at MDUC

*oh bugger, I had my post all written up but had forgotten to schedule it, sorry guys :)

Welcome to a new challenge at Magnolia Down Under Challenges and this weeks challenge is LOVE! Love is certainly in the air at the moment with all the love/valentines themed challenges in blog land... I might even pop this into a few.

To get away from the Valentine's theme I decided to make a wedding card, I mean, how appropriate for a love challenge! Yay, I got to ink up my new background stamp (yeah ok, this card was just an excuse to use a new stamp) My apologies for the crappy photo, the weather here has been terrible and overcast the last few days and I cannot take a decent photo at the best of times :) So, I have inked my edges in vintage photo distress ink and then glittered them, my dp and flowers were drowned in pearl glimmer mist. Tilda and Edwin are popped up on foam adhesive. All the bits and pieces are from my stash. Oh, I almost forgot to mention my new favourite toy... my spica pen, I LOVE it!!! I have slathered it all over my image :)

I hope you can all play along with us this week, luv and hugs xxx ooo
I am entering this card over at:
7 kids challenge - I {heart} you
Let's ink it up - romance/Valentine's day
